Well I rescued "Roody the Rooster" from the neighbors dogs who had torn off his leg and it was healing backwards. I took him to work and the Vet I work with Took it off turned it around and put a pin in it SO he stayed in kennel in house til healed and bandage came off. I didn't want to put him back in neighbor's yard because of dogs but He was lonely and kept wanting to go over fence so I bought "Chicka" his Gal too keep him company and stay in my yard.. He chatters to Me when I talk to him and Has SAVED my Plants from them Destructive snails and keeps the pincher bugs from invading my house and also eats Black Widows which have t3terrified Me since moving in of Fear that My Min Pin's would get bitten, so YES I would say My "Roody and Chicka" Have made Great additions to My Pet Family

Pets are all nice, but whether they're good depend on you. If you live in the city, they may be tricky to take care of. It's much easier if you have a backyard for it to run around. I dreamed of having a lamb as a pet LOL they need lots of grass...baaaaa!

Yes I think so. My grandpa had chickens, nor like pets, but I always had fun with them. It will make you spare some money, because you will never have to buy eggs again.

I can relate. I had chickens until a couple of weeks and they were just like yours. They each had their own personality and I loved them. Unfortunately, they attracted too many flys and my parents gave them away.

I think chickens make great pets. Mine sound just like yours, and I think they require less maintenance than cats or dogs, plus you get your eggs fresh!
