That is actually your cat showing its affection to you. Cats bring dead mice, birds, and any thing else they can kill and bring to you. It is actually a gift to you from your cat. Now as for doing something about it, put the mouse in the cats area where ever the cat stays most of the time. Try its favorite spot to sleep. Any ways, the cat will get the impression that you are not accepting the gift and it will most likely stop. If the cat continues to bring you mice then i dont know.

I disagree strongly with the reply stating it is not cruel to keep cats indoors permanently. It IS cruel. The cat has very little mental stimulation, and dragging a fluffly toy around for your cat for 20 minutes or so is not the same. Cats need proper stimulation that only an outdoor life can give. People in England understand this - nobody keeps a cat indoors and it is considered cruel - along with ripping their nails out. This is not only mutilation, but illegal in most European countries.

Don't do anything. Bury the mice, but don't let the cat see you dispose of the mouse. The cat thinks he/she is bringing you a prize, and is very proud to show you how well he/she is doing the job. This is a sign that the cat loves you and is willing to share their food with you. Cats natural instinct is to hunt, and they very seldom share their food with people unless they are considered of very high stature with the cat. Praise your cat, or you will hurt its feelings by not accepting the honor. Have Fun!

Did you know that this is considered, to a cat, as bringing you a gift. Is your cat finding the mice inside? Then good kitty. Is the cat an outside cat? Then also good kitty. He is leaving you presents. Your cat loves you obviously.

He loves you. You should reward him for doing it with a pat of the head.
My cat is an indoor cat, so no mice, so he brings me straws that he has stolen from people's fast food cups. It's the same beat up straw over and over, but it is cute all the same.

Your cat loves you and is trying to show you by bringing you gifts (things she likes). Be glad that it's dead mice. Mine brought a live mouse into my bed one night. She also brought a frog and a snake (both still alive) too - but not in my bed. My roommate used to think my cat didn't like her until she brought her a mouse and put it in her shoe. Isn't it nice how cats show their love?

first- feel honored that the cat is bringing you presents
second- stop letting the cat go outside. It's NOT cruel to
keep a cat indoors full time. The cat will be safer and
healthier

there is not much you can do, cats do this to tell you that they are useful, its a domain thing with them, they see mice as predators so they kill them you should reward her behavior with extra praise or a kitty treat she is saving you alot of money by killing mice they can cause alot of damage once in your house. Besides be thankful that she doesn't bring you beheaded mice, chipmunks, and moles I get the full assortment but I still reward her even though he trophies gross me out.

Your cat's just try to show off to and impress you. I had a cat once who brought dead birds inside the house and started eating it WHILE we were having dinner!
