My dog just came inside from playing in the yard and she STINKS!!! I have no idea what it is- she smells like a dead animal but I can't find anything in the yard. She was only out for like 20 minutes so I don't know how she would've gotten something. She looks Ok, is acting Ok, it's not that hot out, she has plenty of water, and she didn't smell before she went out. Any ideas??? Has this happened to your dog?

OMG it's making me puke! I had to put her outside. (Don't worry- she's in the shade w/water, not tied up, and it's cool out! :) It's SO much worse than poop. I can't even explain it. Def. not skunk though! I can't even give her a bath now- it's soooo gross! Help!

Ok, I know this is weird but I smelled my other dog's breath and it smells like my 1st dog! I can only smell it up close on her though- it's like they ate some smelly creature or something! But (sad) they've eaten birds, bunnies and mice before and NEVER smelled like this. WTF could it be???

Yes! Dead animals are like perfume to dogs, really it is to keep prey from smelling them. Only thing you can do is bathe her. Or buy one of those dog colognes.

Dogs will find the smelliest things to roll in. Just give it a nice bath and it will be fine.

Is there any rotten or rotting plants? Dogs love the smell of rotting compost. Also check for any poop or pee that might not have come from your dog.( Maybe cat poop)
