could anything bad happen if all the soap suds or bubbles or shampoo is left in the dog's fur after a shower?
i wash my dog for like 10 min becus i dont want my dog to be itchy. but just curious if anything bad could happen besides itching? stupid question.. but thx.

You can easily tell my dog she is a female simply by looking at her face and watching how she acts, but I have seen other female dogs who look like male dogs. Obviously you can tell my checking if the dog has a penis, but I am talking about the appearance in general?

Is it the excess of the sex hormone estradiol?

The word translated into English Bibles as "life" in this verse is in the original Hebrew "nephesh", which literally means soul.
"A righteous man regardeth the nephesh (soul) of his beast..."
I've seen a lot of answers saying animals don't have souls and i'm wondering if anyone has ever noticed the Bible's answer to this question, beyond the descriptions of animals in Heaven - lion laying down with the lamb, etc., and the fact that in the Garden, God told Adam and Eve to "take care of the earth and the animals."
Didn't there have to be a reason for this? Do you see a bigger picture going on, or do you think animals are just learning props for humanity's journey?
PETA - have you never noticed this?

I adopted a dog a couple of days ago, and I have this feeling that her previous owners abused her. It is making me very sad, and I was curious if anyone knew how to tell, and what can I do to get her back to being a happy dog. Thanks for everyone's help!

He travels well in the car. Has been on numerous flights w/o problems but never more than 4 hrs in the car. Not sure of best solutions concerning feeding, litter box, etc.

He's an outdoor cat and he got into a fight with something that gave him a small cut to his upper eye-lid. His upper eye-lid is swollen. I'm presuming it's an infection but I don't have the money to take him, and he won't even get into a car or kitty carrier without killing someone. Is there anything I can do immediately to help him?

our dog coco, is in her 2nd heat, and we really want to breed her now and then get her fixed.But she has major problems when getting around any other dogs. she is a terrier/chuwawa mix very small, about 5 pounds at the most, how can we get her to be more comfortable around other dogs? Please Help...Dont want to have a unfriendly dog, and want to get this bredding done asap. so as we want to have her fixed, after 1 litter. we worry shes 2 small, but are breeding her with a small terrier also, have any suggestions, you think would help?

omg!! pls help! i went outside to go play with my dog (a girl beagle) and give her cold water. it is very hot outside. long story in why she stays outside- crate training, stupid parents, and loud dog. i was jst petting her and then i noticed under her fur, (she has short fur) there was blood. it was like a pimple only like.. a scab.

recently. we have switched shampoos-- from oatmeal flea shampoo to some nice smelling dog shampoo that doesnt help ward off fleas.

could my dog's problem be fleas? her flea collar hasnt been on for the past few days. also, im her skin is really flaky and dry. and she sheds ALOT.
as soon as i saw this, i got her brush thingy, its like a metal comb and a lot of hair and dry skin got out.

wat could be my dog's problem? is it just fleas? if so, what can i do? and if its not, wat is it? serious answers pls.

Tank set up for 2 plus months now, yes it's established. First fish (Tang) died weeks after it was introduced, after last water change remaining fish began to die every day ie blue tang, saebe clowns etc. There are invertebrates i the tank but no Sea Apples or Cucumbers. This does not make sense!

My husband is in the military and I will be joining soon. I love these cats to death, but what will we do with them when we get deployed? I don't want to neglect them, but I don't think I will have enough time for them. I want what is best for them, but I keep thinking that someone else might do something bad to them if we give them away.
