We have an exstremely lovable peach faced love bird which we hand fed as a chick. He has a tendency off getting on our shoulders, hair, etc. and loves to give "kisses". I know there has to be a better exsplanation for this "kisses" than emotions. Can anyone tell me what it means when birds give these kisses?

I have experience with the animals and i'm ready to help raise them on my own. Is an aquarium (with a top to make it 3 stories or one that is super big) be ok to raise the little ones? I can't seem to find anything that is smaller than an inch so they cannot escape. If an aquarium isn't good...what are some suggestions?

Oh yes and don't give me this crap on why I shouldn't breed chinchillas. I'm doing it as a hobby....not for the money or to overpopulate. I plan only to keep a small stock of 6 (no more than 8) at a time. Also....its not like people don't breed just to raise a child. Look how many human kids are in shelters. :P

Does anyone have any ideas on ways to control a neurotic, neutered male cat which sprays around the house because it can smell other cats outside (other than drug therapy, which we are currently reliant on)? Letting him out does not help as he still does it when he is inside.

I have a 17 year old cat who is a male and is an orange tabby. He has been acting strangely for a couple of years. You see, he hisses at the mail carrier and then sometimes chases him or her down the block. As a result, the mail carrier gets afraid and once stop delivering our mail to our house. My mother had to resolve this issue and sign a contract with our local post office. He hisses at people in particular people who wear hats. Now, he cannot be outside in particular when they deliver the mail or she or he will not give us the mail. Is he acting strangely? My grandmother thinks maybe he had a tramatic experience with the person who put him in the bound and he remembers it.. Is this weird behavior for a cat? What is with my 17 year old cat?

My little weiner dog got a hold of about 8-10 chicken wing bones and ate them all. I'm really worried about her because I know chicken bones are bad for dogs because of the splintering. What should I do...Is there anything I can do to help her?

I found a huge beetle outside. I caught it because I am fascinated with huge bugs. What should I feed it to keep it alive and healthy?

I've never seen a poodle, lab, or collie with a spiked collar, but I see lots of Pits with them. Pit Bull owners are quick to defend what nice dogs they are, but it makes me wonder what the rationale behind the spiked collar is. Is it the owner trying to increase the dangerous look of his/her pet, or does the pet get in a lot of fights and need neck protection? Either way, either the dog or the owner - or both - are psycho.

So, what's with the spiked collars?
