manchester terriers apparently have to be black/brown, my dog is a solid rusty color but looks like a manchester terrier how can I tell and age how to you tell age?

I've been thinking about volunteering at a local animal shelter doing office type work. I wonder if anyone else out there did that, if they liked it, what they did, and if they liked the people working there. I would think they would all be caring people, but I used to think that of the hospital I work at, but it's so stressful there! I may be checking a shelter out in the near future, but I'm curious to other people's experiences. :)

My 3 month old kitten poops five times a day! This seems abnormal. And he always eats just before pooping, which is also weird.

My other kitten is kinda weird too.... he always meows loudly in the litterbox before pooping. And his poop is very hard, which is probably why he meows.

PS: Had them dewormed last week.

I let my cat out in the yard to play today and the birds in the tree started swooping down at her as if too warn her. The thing is, she had no intrest in the birds in the first place. She was just playing with things on the ground. The birds did this many times and even came upto my front door in there attacks. i had to come in because i was afraid they would get me if i didn't get out of there way. Whats up with this!?

Our lab loves the water / pool and she was in it most of the day today. Now she keeps digging at her ear, I know she must have water in it. She puts her whole head under. Is it ok to put swimmers ear solution (rubbing alcohol) into her ears? If its ok for us will it be ok for her?

I believe there are reasons for everything. When innocent humans suffer, perhaps it's karma. But what's the reason for so many innocent animals suffering. This is not an attempt to turn anyone vegan. I wish animals had no hearts or brains, but as it goes, humans are no better. In fact, we're the only animal who have caused severe devistation. If anyone's seen what they go thru 24/7, and just how animals can love, hate, play, feel jealousy, have egos, etc., how can we not wish for better conditions for them. I can find humor in most anything, but not this.

I have 3 outdoor cats and a dog. My dog refuses to eat his dogfood, so now I just buy a large bag of catfood for all of them, because he just eats it anyways. I have a loopy friend who told me that catfood will make my dog go blind? I think she is full of it. We compared the ingredients and they are very similar. Anyone know for sure?

Okay, I know that I have heard and read about Bettas turning colors before, but that is when they were younger, and are just "deciding" the color they want to be...

My Betta, Mr. Clyde, I've had him for about a month or more? And he used to be a dark blue with red and green "highlights" in his fins and tail... However, I've noticed that his body is turning a pinkish purple color... Should I be concerned? Or is this perfectly normal like all the other incidents..?

He acts completly normal... he is EXTREMELY active and curious... he eats well, and everything since he's always been...

I have a 10 gallon, whisper filter, the ammonia is still a little high (about .25) but the nitrates and nitrites are at 0 (just tellin' you for extra info)

My dog had scabs around her face and mouth from the aggressive play from his dog. My dog is very submissive around all size of dogs and goes belly-up, then she'll warm up to play. Qustion is: we'll be watching their dog for a week, how can I stop the aggressive play? I don't want her pretty face scarred. Any suggestions welcome.

This afternoon my husband and I came across two abandoned two-week-old puppies. We have them all cuddled up in a blanket and box and after much coxing got them to drink some milk...but now what? Is milk okay to give them? How often? How much? Until when? Should we be doing anything else?
