Okay, I know that I have heard and read about Bettas turning colors before, but that is when they were younger, and are just "deciding" the color they want to be...

My Betta, Mr. Clyde, I've had him for about a month or more? And he used to be a dark blue with red and green "highlights" in his fins and tail... However, I've noticed that his body is turning a pinkish purple color... Should I be concerned? Or is this perfectly normal like all the other incidents..?

He acts completly normal... he is EXTREMELY active and curious... he eats well, and everything since he's always been...

I have a 10 gallon, whisper filter, the ammonia is still a little high (about .25) but the nitrates and nitrites are at 0 (just tellin' you for extra info)

To my knowledge, Mr. Clyde sounds like a perfectly healthy betta (and good for you for keeping him in such a nice habitat!). As long as he is healthy and active, and not showing signs of sickness, it could be that your betta is simply showing his 'true colors' as he grows.

Speaking from experience, my Kisame has darkened condierably to a lovely purple-black with red fins, blue highlights from when I got him. Back then he was a lighter shade of red-violet with more blue highlighting.

So he should be fine, and his coloring my depend on his food as well. I hope this helped!

bettas don't decide what color they want to be. Generally, bettas fade in color as they grow older. Usually, bettas are fed steroids when they are raised and this attributes to the change in color as they grow.
