And if so, why? My old dog used to steal grapes from the fruitbowl and it never seemed to do her any harm, though maybe there's some long-term toxicity?

And what about currants, sultanas & raisins? I have half a fruit scone here that I don't want but need to know it's safe before I give it to my dog.

cat is 11 years old, lost weight recently as other cat missing, and not got his food to scoff too,is baldness due to this or something else, have de flead him recently cant think of anything else.

I have two cats, they both have the same diet, attention, etc. "Chewy" chomped into my computer cords and also goes after my leather purses - but only if I'm not looking. He also tears his toys to shreds. He's a 5 yr old Ragdoll. My other cat never bothers anything.

I'm going away on vacation for a week, so i needed a way to feed my turtles while i was gone. I found this automatic feeder in the petstore that i thought would work well. I decided to hook it up to test it to make sure it would be enogh food sice i have two turtles. While i was testing it a lot of the food fell in the water and desinagrated. i scooped all that food out and put it in a bowl. Yesterday when i went to check my turtles, i noticed a sour smell and looked in the bowl. there were about twenty maggots crawling around inside! i flushed them down the toilet. How did they get there? I'm very clean and i have never had any bug or rodent problems before. Could they have been inside the can of food?

My dog I have two and I havee to give one away cause he sorta went crazy and ion kno y but I have another dog as well and he is a chow but he's mixed with something else now the question is what can I do to help my dog out he's a good dog how should I go about giving him the best environment and giving him the best food and the best love I want my dog to live the best life he can I don't want comments I want answers I really love him any advice... and by the way he don't live in my house he lives in the backyard he has a house back there what can I do about all of this I am scared that he isn't living a happy lif right now and I don't want to give him away I need exact steps to everything plz someone help me

I have read that rabbits will grunt when angry or frightened, but my rabbit doesn't do this. Instead, he will grunt when nobody is petting him, or he's not getting any attention. He'll lay on the ground and grunt, but as soon as someone comes over to pet him, he stops, like he was doing it just to get our attention. Has anyone ever heard of a rabbit doing this?

My turtle, has some kind of sever eye infection. Both her eyes are very swollen up. She can't even open her eyes. Its like her eye lids are sealed or something. I can see her eyes are open within. But yet her eye is swollen and sealed.

She can't open them. And is unable to see anything. And its not even eating anything.

The vet's here dont have any idea about this species. The one I met earlier thought it was an eye infection and now the vet belives its a viral. And the turtles immune system needs to develop further.

If pic's would help let me know. I will mail her eye snaps ASAP.

I am seriously considering adopting a greyhound. I have done extensive research and know the needs of the dog and am prepared to provide those needs. I live in a 1350 sq. ft. condo (owned by my father) and he doesn't want me to have one in the condo because he thinks the dog is too big for the space. From all my research, small spaces shouldn't bother a grey because they like to lay around and could be considered lazy. Give me some good ammo to convince my dad to let me have one! By the way, my husband and I are planning on moving to a house soon, but it could be more than a year from now. I want a grey now!
