Take her out on a regular basis..every 45 min. if you have too. Stay out with her when she goes praise her..if she doesn't go within a reasonable time take her back in and put her in the crate for 15-20 minutes and then take her back outside. If she has an accident don't call her attention to it.Simply clean it up.Calling her attention to it only serves in rewarding her. Even if it is negative attention it is still attention.Make sure to clean any accident areas thoroughly with either white vinegar & water or something like Nature's Miracle or Out. Toy breeds can be difficult to housetrain and they take a lot of patience & persistance on the part of the owner.

To the other poster a correction to your post.... there is no "Miniature" Doberman Pinscher, however there is a Miniature Pinscher. The Min Pin is a very old and very well established breed. The Min Pin is an AKC recognized breed in the toy category. They aren't related to the Doberman. The Min Pin has actually been a breed a lot longer then the Doberman Pinscher has been.

Leave her in the crate all day- I know this sounds terribly cruel. The idea is to create a situation where she REALLY REALLY has to go... NOW!!! Go ahead and let her eat and drink to her heart's content, then put her in the crate... (How old is she?) 3 or 4 hours should do it if she's 6 months old or younger. If she's older, try 8 hours or so. When you take her out, rush her outside.

Also- when she's inside, WATCH HER. As soon as she squats to do either #1 or #2, shout her name- scare the dickens out of her! Pick her up FAST, rush her out side, and put her down.... when she finishes outside, praise, petting, treat.

You will need to keep watching her behavior- try to see the pattern of what she does just before she squats. When you see this red-flag behavior, run her outside.

Good luck- I know how frustrating it can be- had to get rid of a dog who would submissive pee for my husband... I think her previous owner (male) beat her.

If you have a min pincher than train it to go in a kitty litter box. Its real easy. The next time your dog goes on the carpet pick up the poo and put it in the box. Then show her that her poo is in the box and that that is where he/she is sposed to go.

Did you know, the Miniature Doberman Pincher does not exist? You have a Westminster Terrier. That is the official name of the breed. Just a small fact that some people dont know!
