I have an old dog and i feed her Purina bacon daily. But i'm afraid it'll be too salty for her, and her kidneys will not be able to handle it in the long term. Any suggestions for healthy snacks for dogs? Pls give me the brand names as well. Thanks.

I do not understand why my doggie is behaving badly? Could it relate to the visits to the pet-smart, where he leaned from other dogs on how to disobey the rules?

About a week of so ago, my pup started to go wee wee at one spot where was not the wee wee spot where I trained him to go. I read from some dog book, they said that the dogs have the tenancy of marking their territory to show other dogs that they are in a gang.

I do not want him to go wee there, but for some reason he sometimes still goes. (Even I was right next to him)

Any advises on how to put a stop to this?

Oh, my dog is a 7 months old, Pomaninan/ American Eskimo. 20 ibs.

I do not walk to dog, but I let him freely wonder around my apartment. Pls. Do not write back and talk me that I should walk the dog, and let the dog play with flees outside and catch some diseases and pass it to me. I like to keep my pets clean as possible, and that is why I feed a small sized dog. Since I am mentioning about small dogs... have you even seemed people’s dogs at a dog store? I recall one visit at the Pet Smart. I saw a dog’ s size as a horse, and the dog is 3times bigger than this petite woman. I can’t imagine when it comes to telling the horse dog to behave... who controls whom?

Anyway, going back to what I was talking about . . . Why would you want to walk a dog and bring in dirts, viruses, bugs into your home? Unless you are a filthy person then it is explainable.

I have seemed this dog owner walked his bull dogs in the woods one night I was jogging, Again I said to myself, yes those pit-bulls were having fun, enjoying the best time of their lives, but when they return to their home
and cuddle with the humans, and transfer whatever they caught in the woods. Is that good for your health?

If you say “yes” then why don’t you walk like a dog next time when you walk your pet? That way, whatever dirts your pet gets . . . you can get too! Especially, human spits! Humm... that is really clean!

And don’t write and tell me that I am a clean freak, who is afraid of germs, because I am not... I have my limits!

I came home and found her bleeding, her eye popped out a little, and a puncture wound to the top of her head from a bite. I am still in shock. Has this happened to anyone else? Will she be blind? The vet sewed her eye shut until the swelling goes down and did not give a clear diagnosis of what to expect.

I have an older cat, I would say at least 12 years old(he was a stray). After we moved 8 months ago he refuses to use the cat box. Instead he goes under the couch and the bed, and sometimes on the bed. So we put him in the bathroom at night with his own litter box as we have 3 other cats. He pees on the floor anyway. I do know he is very much intimindated by our dominate male cat, and thought that may stop him from coming out to use the box, but he refuses even in a room by himself. We tryed diffrent types of litter boxes as well as litter. We also took him to the vet, they couldnt find anything wrong with him. I am running out of ideas but he cant keep peeing ang pooping every where. And we can't keep him in the bathroom all the time. Should we put him down? I am at a loss, the idea breaks my heart but I do not what else to do! Any help would be great!

My neighbor has a pet bunny and one of the neighbors told us that she saw the neighbor's bunny it was left outside in a cage and only had a piece of birthday cake in the cage. Is this considered animal abuse? Also, the other neighbor notices that they leave that bunny outside most of the time. Thing is, now they have a dog. Would this be considered animal abuse? What should I do?

Aside from making sure she has shots (she does) and takes her heartworm (she does) and the mice haven't been poisoned (they aren't - we live in the country, so no fear of neighbors and we don't use poison)..... all that aside, my cat is catching the mice and the dog is eating them. What a power team! BUT, my dog ate one whole in like 5 seconds. She only weighs about 8 pounds, so I'm wondering if she'll be able to digest it or if I'll be making an expensive trip to the vet tomorrow. There really wasn't much chewing, just a lot of gulping and it was gone. Anyone know if she'll be able to "pass it out"???

Every time I bring a cat home, my dog kills it. My last dog was a lab and didn't have a problem with cats, but I can't have a cat here for more than two days before Rosco chases it down and mauls it. Please help with some advice, I have gone through 12 cats in the past month.

How do you keep them from killing or maiming you with their claws?

Just interested in those who bathe their cat by themselves, not with assistance from anyone including groomers.
