Yes! We have the fainting goats here in SC. Go to http://members.tripod.com/~duhgoatman/fainting.htm and find the area closest to you. I think they are absolutely adorable.

you can get them from anywhere you could get a regular goat. these goats serve a special, yet grim purpose. traditionally, goat farmers will keep some fainting goats around, so that if a wolf or some other predator comes, it will eat the fainting goats and the marketable ones have time to escape.

As a former goat owner, I can say yes, there are fainting goats, and some people think it is because they are scared, like playing dead. It is something genetic tho in their health that causes them to do this. I would not buy any, because they are not healthy.

Here is a link about them.

Myotonic goats dont actually faint but their muscles stiffen when scared - if you want them you must make sure you have coyote protection...
you can usually get them at Odd and Unusual livestock auctions.

before you whip out the checkbook, i would read up on the rules and regulations in your town or city. it may be illegal to have such pets, plus you might not be able to find any near you...best bet would be to google it....i know thats what everybody says...;)
good luck!
