Well I think it's all Family Guy's fault. They depicted giant chicken costume wearing weirdo's as being scary, non trustworthy, and violent. I often wear a t-shirt that honors the Great Giant Chicken Fight of 2005 where Peter Griffin barely escaped with his life so I of course would most likely run for my life if I saw you. However I have no intention to kill you or your people.

Personally, I think YOU'RE the speciesist! You're stereotyping all Homo sapiens as fearful, meat-eating mosters! I will give you some credit--for the most part it is true. BUT there are a LOT of vegetarian and vegan Homo sapiens out there who don't eat meat--though the vegetarians may stear your people's eggs for consumption.
As for crossing the street when they see you, they're the types of Homo sapiens who will cross the street when they see the homeless, or gruff-looking types, or anything that resides out of their poodle-loving, Lexus-driving, tea-at-noon-with-the-Queen lives.
