I would never use a tranquilizer on my pets. Not ever!!!!! There are so many risk factors when using them. You pet could never wake up from it. Also, your pet may have trouble from the after effects. Like, liver damage, heart failur and other horrible things. If the air line want's your pet under then I wouldn't use them. Pets are completly safe in a carrier on the plane and they will be just fine.

You really need to see a vet about tranquilizing your pet. Too much can kill your pet. Usually when vets give medicine made for humans, they give the animal the equivalent of a child's dose. Depending on the size of your pet, you may have to give even a smaller dose than that. Be extremely careful with this. Always give just enough to do the job, if you give any extra, then you could run into problems. If your pet doesn't attack, or have too much of a behavior problem and if it's in a cage, then I would imagine that you wouldn't need to tranquilize your pet. Again, you didn't specify what kind of pet you had, and what size it is. If it's a small puppy or kitten, then I wouldn't worry about doing that at all. Best of luck to you.....

I think that it is something to consider because on a plane is pretty rough and tough. Plus they wil be in the baggage department in a cage. I would say yes. Unless it was like a 1-5 hour flight. Only if it would be longer than 10 hourse would I tranquilize.

What might provide you such an thought?! it is basically downright stupid. yet why might you elect the cat to be subconscious on an identical time as vacationing besides? Your afraid he's gonna circulate loopy and leap out the window then you definitely run over him? nicely it relatively is impossible for 2 motives. a million) Cats are no longer good adequate to bounce out of a glass window and smash it. 2) The cat won't even leap out of the window via fact it is going to hide someplace in the vehicle. So basically get a puppy provider or a field with a hollow in it and positioned it in the vehicle and positioned your cat interior. make beneficial the field is enclosed so he can not get out. there is rather no reason to make a cat bypass out on an identical time as vacationing. the only and that i propose ONE AND in straightforward terms reason is that if he's sick and refuses to circulate in the provider and you may desire to take him to the vet. do no longer USE TRANQUILIZERS on your CAT!!

Some Vet recommend Benadryl but you would need to consult your Vet for the recommended dose. Just be aware, as with people, sometimes meds like this will have an adverse reaction and make the animal worse.

Yes, you'll probably want something.
Ask your vet, they will want a current weight on your pet
to get the dosage right. Tranqs are not expensive at all.
