Our one is called "Yung Ying" and I haven't a clue what it means.

She's also known affectionately as "The big black hairy maggot"

Talking about dogs, one of our neighbours had a cat called "Nooky" she disappeared one time and they were out shouting the cat's name trying to locate her and I shouted back "are you buying or selling?"

Being a dog trainer for 11 years and owning a dog day care, I've heard lots of unusual names for dogs. Lots of Totos, Baileys, Lucy's, Sammy's, etc.

I have a dog named CD, short for Compact Dog. I also have 2 dogs named after Jimmy Buffett songs:
Diamond as Big As The Ritz
Bob Roberts Society Dog

I always liked Levi if it fits the dogs looks. For my cats I looked at a US map and the cities on it. I have a cat named Tuscon and Phoenix and my mom has a cat named Chyanne. I drove truck so this kind of fit for me also. My dog was named Kenworth. He was a Boxer/Lab and his nose looked like the Kenworth front ends.
