It probably has worms or has eaten food its digestive tract can't handle. It needs a trip to the vet.

So far, and I agree, you need to take the kitten to the vet, however, if the kitten has diarrhea with the blood that is most likely the diarrhea causing an irratation in the intestinal track which will most times leave a trace amount of blood. Worms and/or the changing of food will cause diarrhea to start. Worms are not an immediate threat to the kitten as nealy all kittens will get worms from the mothers milk and ususally never see a vet till 8 or more weeks from birth. Again, although this is a most case senerio, I would get the kitten to a vet in the next day or two, to be on the safe side.

You need to take the kitten to the vet, it could have internal injuries. Having blood in the stool is not a good thing, and it could bleed to death. Good luck to you

There are several reasons that a kitten can excrete blood in its feces, none of which are things you can fix at home - since you can't diagnose it at home.
Get your kitty to a vet.
I found this from another website:
***********************************
Potty Color Guide
Any of the following require that kitty receive IMMEDIATE medical attention
# Bloody: red blood in stool may indicate panleukepenia (distempter).
# Black: may indicate bleeding high in the bowel.
# Mucous: slimy substance may indicate severe bowel irritation.
# White: may indicate a serious bowel infection. High risk of death.
The following may require that you seek medical advice:
# Orange: means there may be too much bile in stool.
# Yellow: is indicative of a bacterial imbalance in bowel.
*******************************
As you can see, your kitten needs medical intervention and quickly. Good luck to you and your fur baby.
