Itchiness, skin irritation, and the like. If you look online, you can find somewhere the proper mixture of I believe vinegar and water so that you can be sure to get all of the soap out. I used that method a couple of times but stopped because then my dogs smelled like vinegar instead of their nice-smelling shampoo. Now I rinse my dogs for a while and make sure that I can really rub all over them without producing even the slightest bubbles or suds.

Left over soap on a dog after a bath can cause irritation and rashes. Always be sure to use a shampoo made specifically for dogs and rinse it thoroughly from the dog's coat for safety. Remember dogs will lick themselves and left over shampoo can also cause a tummy ache when the dog licks it off.

you should not use human soap and shampoo but if you use dog products it should be fine as long as you make sure you rinse it out by scrubbing over water. Good luck and ask your vet for concerns

Well, the soap will attract dirt. If it keeps scratching it will scratch sores into its skin which are really hard to heal. It will scratch so much it will mat the hair in places and it gets so tight it has to be cut out and just scratching the mats tears the skin.

Any residue left on the dog will make him itch even worse..........and try using an oatmeal based shampoo....that helps with itching....just make sure it is rinsed good....I know its hard to bathe them....I groomed dogs for 13 years....lol

scrub your dog while under water...also try using an all natural shampoo...it should not itch as much...try aloe vera gel, water and alittle bit of baby shampoo.
