First off, please read my other question about goldfish & parasites! Thanks.

I am considering buying an algae eater. I have 2 goldfish in a 10 gallon tank. What are the pros & cons of algae eaters?

Thanks!

There are three of these dogs around, clear pack and herding behaviour, very vocal. They resemble German Shepherds in colouring, but have softer, slightly longer fur and don't have the slope down towards the tail that you see in shepherds. I'd estimate 60 lbs, smaller than a shepherd, but definitely a working dog. We know they are purebreds but don't know what kind! Any suggestions appreciated.

(If you are going to tell me to get rid of it, I don't want to hear it)

My kittens turned a week old on Monday. Today they were all fine. I checked on them periodically. When I went in there to check on them one time, one of the kittens was barely moving and breathing. It died within a few minutes. The momma cat was with my mom in the front room when this was going on. What could have made the baby kitten just die suddenly when an hour before that she was fine.

Ok first off i KNOW i made a mistake, but hindsight is 20/20 right? I live in the desert, and near school in the street i found a small wild bird, its defenitely a fledgeling. When i found it yesterday afternoon it wasnt moving but now it seems better. Everywebsite says, "leave the bird there, it was learning to fly and the parents were around to feed it for a few days until it took off" Ok so i should have put it in a nearby tree or something, but i didnt, so now what?I have been keeping it warm and dry, and feeding it occasionally with a medecine dropper. I have been feeding it sugar water or fruit punch mixed with corn meal (yes i know fruit punch probably isnt what it normally eats.) Its moving around very well now, and I am considering putting it in the backyard as we have several bird feeders w/50 or more wild birds flying around so he/she can learn to fly.1) will the other birds feed it? 2) Is it too late to take it back where i got it?3)any suggestions? No i dont want to keep it

I already have a 2 yr old Shepard-greyhound mix (i believe-adopted). She's a medium sized dog, so I'm looking for small-medium size dog as a playmate. I don't have much room- I live in a two bedroom apratment, which is big for being an apartment. I'm having trouble deciding, my dog is friendly, playful, and always looking for something to get into, which is why I need a dog that will help keep both of them involved.

I have 2 goldfish. I went & bought a new filter for their tank the other day & came home to clean it out so I could put the new filter in. It needed to be cleaned, hadn't been done in a while. So I took them out & put them in a bowl & my boyfriend proceeded to clean the tank. I just happened to look down at the fish & one of them had some green blob on it's body. We pulled the thing off and it was ALIVE! It was so gross. It looked like we pulled one of his scales off but at a closer look, I realized that it was part of this THINGs body. It looked like a clear disk with a greenish blob in the middle. It had black spots & little green hairs that were moving around. Anyway, my question is, does anyone know what this thing was? Do you think it was harming him? Was it okay to just pull it off?

Thanks!

My cat who is 3 had her kidneys fail, so she is on a very low protein diet. The vet has been no help in recommending food other than the special diet kidney disease cat food. What are some things that a cat would like to eat that contain no protein?

So I have this fat cat in my lap, and he keeps farting in my face and I tell him to stop it, but he won't. How can I convince him that it's in his best interest to not fart in my face?

Our cat is about 15 months old. She is (unfortunately) a mother. She has 5 kittens who are about 5 weeks old now. They are running a bit and playing, still nursing. Mom cat is bugging the crap out of us with her persistant meowing. She has food (wet & dry, both kitten) and water and is free to go outside whenever she needs. Yet she follows us constantly with the same meow.

My guess is maybe she's tired of nursing (they are starting to get teeth, so she may be getting uncomfortable) and is looking for us to provide some sort of kitten food/formula supplement. But I have no idea really. I want the kittens out and I want the Mom gone as they are making the house smell and annoying us all. But the question is, why is Mom cat meowing constantly for what seems like no reason?

Please help!

My puppy is 7 months and he has fleas. He is currently on Advantix, but I still find fleas on him but alot less than before. I usually see maybe 1 or 3, but he still scratches alot. I'm assuming he hasn't fully healed from the older flea bites. Is there something that actually repels fleas?? And any advice on ridding them completely. I live out in a country area in Texas so fleas is a problem.
Any suggestions would be great..Thank you!

I live in an apartment and my neighbors continue to allow their dogs to use the restroom everywhere. I have to be careful where I step because thet never clean up behind their animal. I have two children and I can't let them out to play in fear that they might track some waste back inside the apartment.
