Are you out of your mind!? Are you trying to set up a passive-aggressive cycle that will last for years?

Cats want treehouses.

(Lilyboo: "Yes, we do!")

Put a sturdy platform or two in the nearest tree, and Kitty will be grateful. Or at least satisfied.

(Lilyboo: "Treehouses!")

Thank you for your attention to this important messge, brought to you by Lilyboo's Feline Sanctuary for the Criminally Insane.

Yes at first almost any animal will get scared , mad or perhaps sad.

Pay equal attention to both of them. The cat in most cases become friends with the dog within a month. It all depends on the age of the cat and dog.

They might even fight and hard at first. I found that cats fight cats much worse then dogs and cats will fight.

It also depends on how many cats or current dogs you have in your house or what history your cat has with dogs.

Overall I would not be scared from what I have seen after a month they will be Buddy's.

Your cat probably wouldn't take offense, but he or she would most certainly be immediately bored with both you and it. To express its ennui, your cat will refuse to look at you and refuse to even inspect the dog house. The cat will probably shake a little extra litter off its paws and onto your carpet as a direct result of your purchase--just because the cat will be so world-weary that there would be nothing left to do except strew some irritants across your path in order to liven things up.

He might be offended if a dog came with it. If he's like my cat, he'd enjoy it maybe a week and then find another place to sleep. More often than not, my cat prefers a windowsill.

He probably won't even realize it's a dog house. So why not? Buy your cat a dog house.

If you buy it for your cat it will be a cat house, not a dog house.

Have watched "Garfield 1"? This is what they feel to each other.
But eventually they may be friends, who knows?
