in response to kgi, do not give the cat milk! cow's milk is really bad for cats and will cause diarrea (spelling) that gets worse with age. and you should never give cats food because they are meowing. feed the cat on a regular basis. feeding a meowing cat will only encourage the cat to meow more. most cats just meow for no good reason, some more than others. mine runs into another room and meows for no reason i can see. he meows when he plays, he meows when i get out of bed or come home. he meows when he sees a fly or a bird out the window. he just talks a lot. he didn't when he was a little bitty guy but he talks a lot now.
by any chance is your kitten siamese? they tend to be very vocal cats.

There could be number of things.
She could be hurt, where you cant really tell.
She may want to play.
She may (I have 2 of these) like to talk.
The food may be making her sick like the other suggested try switching it, And see.
Try giving her alot of attention
Place the baby kitten in a blanket, place her on the left side of your chest and gently pet her and see if that helps.
Get some kitten Milk Supplement (already in a can or box) and see if she will drink it, it could be too that she misses her mommy.
If that dont help I would get her to a vet ASAP.

She might be in heat, or she is just lonely. Play with her a little more than you have been, and try this tip I saw a while ago on TV:
get a clock that has a ticking you can hear without holding it up to your ear and wrap it in several layers of old soft clothes (make sure you can still just hear the ticking). Put it in her bed or where she usually sleeps. The ticking is supposed to mimic the mother's heartbeat.
I hope that helps...

try placing one of your clothing articles that you have previously worn in his/her bed. if the cat sleeps with you lay out the clothing on the bed she will find comfort. Definetly no milk!! No table food either. Stick to a regular feeding schedule. Play with the cat, kittens are full of energy, and they need excitement. A good cardboard box with a few holes in it can provide hours of enjoyment. A wrestling match with you is a winner. Place a old sock over your hand and let them get wild with you, will really tire them out. Sleeping = no noise.

Maybe the food you are feeding is not agreeing with the kitty and she has a tummy ache. Try switching her food and see if it helps. If it doesn't she should be seen by a vet to make sure there is nothing physically wrong with it.

...too young to be in heat...does she appear to be hurt? You may have a really vocal cat, but if it continues I'd call the vet. There may be something wrong that's not visible to the eye.
