My cat who is 3 had her kidneys fail, so she is on a very low protein diet. The vet has been no help in recommending food other than the special diet kidney disease cat food. What are some things that a cat would like to eat that contain no protein?

A new toy with catnip in it. My cats love it when I bring home a new toy for them. They consider that a treat. I would think that if you give your kitty half of a regular treat every now and then wouldn't hurt. But ask the vet first if it is o.k.

Everything has a little or a lot of protein.
If you want something really protein-free, just give him sugar cubes or candies.

My cat likes macaroni, potato chips, corn chips. Some cats I know like salad (they are more health conscious than mine).
