I currently have vinyl on my bathroom floor and would like to put ceramic tile on top of this, but I worry that the 1/4" additional height of the tile will not allow for a tight seal for the toilet to the waste line in the floor. I really don't want to have to change the subfloor or any plumbing, if possible.

I've been thinking about selling quilt blocks for quilters. Also quilt squares. Maybe even a pieced quilt top. Would those kind of things go over good on e-bay? What do you think about pay pal?

I know I am suppose to declutter before the move. I have done some. I just don't really know what to get rid of. I have gotten rid of a ton of clothes. I have gotten rid of furniture, still there is a ton of "stuff" I don't know what to do with. Any suggestions on how to go on with this?

I had used the country theme in my house for many years. We are moving. I was wondering does anyone still use the shelves, hearts, etc...in their homes? I love this stuff but I am also bored with it. I have been in more and more homes that it seems there is very little on the walls. I also still like the Priscilla Curtains even though I know they are not used anymore. Any suggestions?

We found the house we wanted. Bad thing is I have to use a primer paint. Their colors were Southwestern Rust with a tan ceiling. Blue and yellow, Orange and one pink room. Not even going to guess on how they came up with these colors. I have been to MAB Paints, Sherman Williams, TrueValue, and Wal-Mart. They all seem to tell me the same thing, a primer is a prime no matter which one you choose. Is this true? I need to know if there is a primer for one coat coverage that is better than others. I am going to use this wagner spray painter thing my dad had. No worrys there is no flooring to worry about since it will be just subfloors.

The kitchen & living room are one big room so I have to be careful what I use. Oak laminate flooring, stainless steel appliances, white cupboards with granite looking counter top. Curtains in the living room are gold colour.

I want to purchase new slipcovers for my sofa and loveseat, and I was wondering if someone could tell me what they consider to be the best material for them. What do you find to be the most durable? What material should I stay away from? Thanks

My husband and I were comparing the costs of putting down laminate hardwood flooring ourselves. We would like to save some money in doing so but have never attempted in such a task. How hard is it in putting the flooring down? What company offers the best prices per square footage?

I stripped all the old paint and varnish off and am down to bare wood (hard wood) I think. I just don't want a too dark of a color which would make the kitchen even smaller. I was thinking pecan or light oak color. Is the all in one ok to use or should I do the step by step method? Room size around 5x15. Very narrow but long

The walls of the elevator cab is American cherry furniture veneer. The floor space is small at about 10 square feet (2 3/4 feet x 3 3/4 feet). I'm looking for something durable, low maintenance, and not too expensive to install. I'm considering luxury vinyl (i.e., Amtico brand vinyl tiles), even if it's not very cost efficient to have the installer come out for such a small surface area. I'm wondering if there are other types of flooring or specific products I should consider. The elevator is in a residential building. Appreciate your suggestions!
