I'm renovating in the kitchen. It's a single bedroon apartment and I live by myself. I've got a dishwasher. Will I be sorry if I don't put in a double sink? A large sink is so nice for soaking the roaster or lasagna pan in.

Esentially I'm repainting a patio set. The paint on the old set is in decent condition for it's 10 yo age. It is a black set. The black paint was flaking in some areas therefore I used a wire brush on my drill and removed the rust and flaky paint. I also scratched up the paint a lot so that there is no gloss. Is it necessary that I use a primer regardless? I'm using rust-oleum spray paint.

My appliances are white and I'm going to paint my cupboards white also, then do some of the tin tiling for the backsplash and the stove and oven area.

I'm switching from a recirculating fan to an outside-venting hood in my kitchen, but I need someone to run the ductwork. Any recommendations? It's a fairly small job, only going about 6 feet with a single 90degree angle I believe, punching through the ceiling and then out through the exterior wall and aluminum siding.

My future husband and I just purchased our first home. The home is a small cape cod-936 sq ft. It already has forced air, a brand new furnace, and all the duct work is already in place. With that in mind, what would it cost to add central air?

Any tips? Websites that I can visit?
My house is located on a hill overlooking the sea. I'm not spending XXX for interior designing. Hopefully if I can do it myself, why not?

I feel like I am taking a stab in the dark here ...

We are building a little home along the arts and crafts style. We don't have the money to get professionals to do the aesthetics work (terrace ... front porch railings ... window framing and such ...)

Where could I go to find up and coming wood crafters who would like the experience and the opportunity to add to their portfolio for a minimal cost on our part?

Any thoughts? Thanks much!

Though I love Tinkerbell, I want to make this a more "generic" fairy-themed room, but with really cute fairies that are similar to Tinkerbell. Your ideas and any websites that have bedding or decor would be greatly appreciated!

I need a runner rug (2.5 feet x 11 feet) for a hallway in my house and I have no idea where I can find one; I'd prefer to get it in person. If you've had any good experiences with buying a runner, please share. Thanks!
