Ok here is what happened. Long before we were married my husband purchased a house (I do not say home as neither he nor I ever lived there). In the past years since he purchased this house he has had 2 tenants. Now we are a military family and can not be there to manage the property ourselves so there was a family member doing it for us. Well to make a long story short the family member was not doing a good job and not only was rent never paid but the house was destroyed. Until just recently we did not know the extent of the destruction and were not prepared to have to remodel an entire house. Now we have a week and a half at home and very little money in order prepare this house for sale. Please give me all the ideas you have on how to remodel a 3 bedroom one bath house for as little money as possible in just a short period of time.

Our kitchen door is old and looks it. I want to paint it, so I'd like to know how to prepare the door beforehand, and what kind of paint I should use.

I am redoing my kitchen and when I removed the old wallpaper there was some paint underneath. The problem being that there are many holes to fill in and fix and I am not sure if this paint contains lead, since it was built back in the seventies. I was looking to just cover the whole wall with the paint on it and then paint over that. Does anybody have any suggestions?

a little over a month ago my husband and i bought a tempurpedic. He is pretty satisfied with it, although he sleeps so well that he snores now.
He's a big guy, 6 ft and about 230 lbs. I'm a small woman, 5'2", 120 lbs.
I HATE THIS BED. It took me a week to actually sleep more than in one hour intervals during the night. And to date i cant sleep more than 5 hours after that i wake up every half hour.
I am usually a side sleeper but if i sleep on my side I wake up with REALLY bad neck pain, and knots in my back muscles. Also my organs in general just feel like crap, I feel a lot of pressure in the morning and afternoon just everywhere inside my body. If i sleep on my back, this cuts the pain and discomfort down by about 50% but it then is comparable to sleeping on the floor and the feeling you get in the morning after doing that.

Has anyone else had this issue? And if so does it get better?

Right here goes, i have a combi boiler upstairs at the front of the house and i want to fit a shower in the bathroom which is downstair in the extention in the back of the house, the hot tap is ok but not as powerfull as the cold. If i have the hot tap on then put the old on the pressure drops on the hot. The boiler reads 1 bar. What can i do so i can have a shower running off the boiler?

I love love love Peter Fallico. I am amazed with his design sense, his honesty and his frugulness. But I can't hire him 'cause I don't live in the area. Where do I find someone like him. Maybe I should have contacted him so that he could recommend someone in my area. How do I go about getting a decorator.

Aluminum windows, original to house built in 89. Is there some sort of spray i can put on them to revive the aluminum.
I am trying to sell my home and need to perk up those windows.
Also, I have white house/black roof, what color should I paint the shutters, they are black now, but I would like to update them.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
