It really depends on how deep the plaster is. If you are just talking about a skim then a couple of days should be fine. If it is a centimetre or more deep then you will need to leave it for about 4 days. Another tip, when you do tile over the plaster do not grout the tiles straight away. Tile and grout the rest of the kitchen and then go back and do the area around your cupboards last. This will give more time for any residual moisture to come out of the plaster and will also help the tile adhesive to go off properly.

You can tile as soon as the plaster is dry (when it is a ubiform colour). Remember to prime it first with dilute pva or you risk the tiles becoming loose later on.

Plaster is VERY slow to dry. You should wait at least a month, but I'd recommend longer if you can, especially if you live somewhere humid.

you can tile safely after a couple of days ..you could tile earlier but it is best to let it dry a bit ..the adhesive is water based and so it Will stick fine

if it's just been skimmed it will only take a few days. you can tell when it's dry cos the deeper parts turn the same colour as the outside shallower parts.
