a little over a month ago my husband and i bought a tempurpedic. He is pretty satisfied with it, although he sleeps so well that he snores now.
He's a big guy, 6 ft and about 230 lbs. I'm a small woman, 5'2", 120 lbs.
I HATE THIS BED. It took me a week to actually sleep more than in one hour intervals during the night. And to date i cant sleep more than 5 hours after that i wake up every half hour.
I am usually a side sleeper but if i sleep on my side I wake up with REALLY bad neck pain, and knots in my back muscles. Also my organs in general just feel like crap, I feel a lot of pressure in the morning and afternoon just everywhere inside my body. If i sleep on my back, this cuts the pain and discomfort down by about 50% but it then is comparable to sleeping on the floor and the feeling you get in the morning after doing that.

Has anyone else had this issue? And if so does it get better?

Hi,

My wife and i recently bought a Tempurpedic matress/foundation & the pillows.

We got it in April. We'd been having some aches and pains and Loved the feel in the store and loved the first few weeks, but always woke up feeling like we needed to move a little more than our bodies were able to move at night (like we couldn't roll over easily enough). Our ORIGINAL aches and pains disappeared so it seemed we were better off than before.

We began to notice that we were waking up during the night, couldn't sleep all the way through, eventually that stopped.

After 6-8 weeks everything seemed ok. But since late June or early July we are both waking up with sore LOWER backs, perhaps worse than b4 the bed.
Also I have noticed that my butt is sore. When I sit on something like an office task chair, It gets REALLY sore which never happened to me before.

Any one had anything like this?
Could there be a seasonal difference from summer and winter that would affect the mattress support?
The house is a few degrees warmer in summer than winter.

We're getting back toward winter now so i will see if there is a difference. We both really WANT to love and keep the bed, but we are definitely questioning it now. I am thinking of going back to the fouton for a while to see what happens.

A bit over rated, Return it while you can. Just wait till summer and you are SO hot and you just sweat all night. I have yet to find anyone who really likes them.
The select comfort is better, the air bed that is adjustable you each can pick how you like it. (it's less expensive too)

I slept on one on vacation and woke up stiff every morning. I am slightly arthritic had have a problem if I sit too long without moving, so I think my problem is that it is too comfortable so I don't move at night. I have a sleep comfort at home, and have much less of a problem with stiffness when I sleep on it.

I love our tempurpedic.. First one was to firm, so we returned it for a softer one.. I do find if I stay in bed too long I will have some pain in my arms.. I think you have 60 to 90 days to exchange it..

My dad did and he got rid of it. He now sleeps on a water bed and he's happy.
