We sprayed OUT odor, stain remover on the mattress and on the comforter. I want to launder the comforter but I'm afraid it'll lose its luster. The face of the comforter is 100% polyester and the back is 90% poly. and 10% cotton. It wasn't that expensive but it's brand new and pretty. It says it's machine washable, but I don't want to ruin it. Should I wash then line dry it, or take it to the dry cleaner? I don't know yet how much it'd cost at the dry cleaners, it's a king. Anyone know?

I like my painting supplies to be completely free of paint when I am finished with them, but it's impossible (at least for me) to get them that way. I let them soak in hot soapy water for at least an hour and that gets a lot of the paint out, but not at all of it. I know this probably sounds crazy, but can after they've soaked for an hour in the soapy water and released a lot of the paint, can you put them and only them (no dishes or eating utensils) into the dishwasher and run it to remove the remaining paint?

were can you get discounted materials if you decided to just try to figure it out on your own. i want to make my own furiture. chairs, stools, chests, beds etc. but will it end up costing the same as just buying it after paying for your material, wood, varnish, springs, nails, stain etc? so this is kinda a 2 in 1 question... school and cost ...

I am planning to build a deck with a roof covering. The size is about 10 x 14 ft. I don't require a permit if its build 6 ft away from the house or if it doesn't have a roof. The roof covering will be attached to the existing roof of the house. The permit cost is $212 and it will take 2-3 weeks for approval. The building inspector said that I may be penalized without any permit and its safer to build with a permit.

Any suggestions??

I want to paint my house's interior with different color for different room but I also think about further down the road if I want to sell my house. I want to paint some room with darker color that match my taste. If in the future I decide to sell my house and to appeal to more people, I have to repaint them to a neutral color, would that color come out OK over the old darker paint? For example, a very light beige over chocolate brown?

I have an older Singer 457 which until yesterday ran great but as I sewing denim, my needle hit something and would not down. I took the face plate/slide plate off and discovered the metal piece that the bobbin case sits in had moved and the needle was hitting the bottom plate. I moved it slightly and now the top thread will not pick up the bobbin thread. Does that bobbin case holder have to be in a certain position? And is it supposed to turn? It will turn occasionally when I put the needle down but then only for a second. I have tried everything but still cannot get the bobbin thread to pick up. Please help, I am in the middle of a project. No stupid answers, please........ Thanks.
