I'm remodeling my home and I would like to install the same flooring both in my family room and in the outside patio, to have an integrated feel. There is a glass sliding door dividing them.
I thought about stone but there are thickness considerations. Any suggestions?

I just installed wood paneling in my basement against drywall with nails only. I let the paneling acclimate for a week prior to installing and now it's bowing from the !#!*! wall. Is there any way to fix this without tearing it all down? Ugh!

A friend of mine says 5/8" x 6" and there's a website (http://freedeckplans.com) that says 2x6. 2x6 are obviously more expensive. Which are actually recommended? The 5/8" x 6" is supposedly decking board? (I'm not sure so I'm asking)

assuming laminate flooring materials for 600 sq. ft. costs $700, how much would it roughly cost to have people come move furniture and install it for me?

I have a large size vase and would like cranberries at the bottom, with water in the vase and wouldl ike to put a floating sunflower candle for the top of the vase. The toruble is the cranberries float to the top. I was told to soak them in sugar solution to increase their density but that doesn't seem to work. I was told to put a less dense liquid in like rubbing alcohol but that is flammable and definatley not a good idea if there's a candle at the top. PLEASE HELP!

It's a wall with a fireplace, and we've measured up to know that if you start in the middle it'll create thin bits at the edges that will look ugly. Do I start at one end and work through? Should I hide the filler bits on the fireplace sides? It's a repeat palm print wallpaper. Decent advice for 10 points gratefully received.

I'm currently homeless [long and painful story] but am about to move into a flat, problem is the only furniture I have is a double bed, bookcase, TV unit, and wardrobe – I also have a PC and TV.

Problem is I simply do not have the funds; bills are going to be hard enough to manage at first, so furniture and appliances are going to be difficult, more so as my credit is too poor to get any sort of loan (a blessing in disguise really) – again, the same long and painful story.

Other than working my behind off for more money and buying second-hand is there anything else I can do to get what I need? I seem to remember seeing on TV once something where people could buy or borrow when they couldn't afford it themselves, any idea of anything like this?

I have about 1200 square feet of hardwood flooring that needs to be resurfaced. How much would you typically pay per sq. ft.? Or is it priced differently. I live in Eastern Massachusetts.

Hi!
We are moving into our first home this week. :o) And we were wondering how we can design our 3 1/2 year old's new bedroom. He is speech delaid so he really can't tell us what he wants.
We had 3 ideas.

1: A zoo theme: He loves to watch the Croc Hunter and we have pictures and posters of the croc hunter.
If you like this one: How would you design it. What colors would you use? What kinds of sheets would you buy?

2: Nemo: We would put in a 29 gallon saltwater tank in. And we would buy Nemo sheets.
But, other than that we are open to other ideas.

3: Cars, the movie: Right now he is really into this movie. We watch it at least once a day. I know we can buy the sheets at Wal-mart or Target.
If you like this idea how would you design it? What colors would you paint the room?

We are also opened to any other ideas. We would like a room he can grow in for the next few years ( at least to age 10.)
Thanks
Jennifer

What is the best paint to use? I am painting the interior, and all the rooms. I hear that Behr paint is good.. Is Ralph Lauren paint a good choice? Thanks!

I'm currently looking to buy a new bedroom suite. Where is a good place to get furniture that has some quality but yet doesn't blow my budget?

Can anyone suggest a relatively inexpensive place to find patio furniture? We are looking for something basic: dining table, umbrella, 4 chairs or so...we don't need anything fancy and don't want to spend a lot (a few hundred dollars, at most)

Thanks!

Specifically, what is the best printable fabric/ink solution. Is there somewhere I can send/email the photos and get them printed on fabric? I'd like to use the quilt everyday. Thank you!

I am thinking of going into the craft business. I am a pretty good painter and I think I am going to build up a stock of handpainted banners, anything from seasonal to holidays, to personalized or for baby rooms. Would you buy something like that and how much would you expect to pay? I have found other people offering them for $65 to $220.

i've had my carpets down for nearly 4 years. They were average priced (not dead cheap) but am concerned their not looking very good anymore. How long should they last and does professional cleaning help?
