The charge would be roughly depending upon what area you live in about $1.50 per square foot or $900 for labor. There would also be a cost for the pad to go underneath it which would be around $75. There would also be thresholds for the doors which depending upon how many would be about $7.50 each. We will assume they can reuse the existing quarter round.
So when we total it up we have:
Material $700.00
Labor 900.00
Pad 75.00
2 Threshold 15.00
_____
Total $1690.00

There would probably be tax on top of that at somewhere between 5% and 10%. This would add between $84.50 and $169 to the total. So a rough estimate would be about $1800.

The basic installation price for laminate is $2 per ft. Removal of old flooring and installation of quarter round are additional costs. Most guys will move your furniture for free, unless you have a massive amount of heavy stuff. You will do good to find a pro to install 600 ft. for under $1500 so your total for mat. and labor will be at least $2000.

It will cost you a fortune, dont do it! Get some buddies together and do it yourselves! Order a couple pizzas and get some drinks and make it a party. We have had painting parties in the past, and plan to have a new roof party this spring! If you supply the food , drink, and music...it can be fun! Contractors usually get paid anywhere between $15-$45 an hour!

It depends on who you hire...if it's a licensed contractor figure 3 to 4 times the amount. If you hire a unlicensed contractor it could only be a few hundred dollars (just for install). If you do it yourself, about a hundred bucks for the supplies you will need to install it your self. It's not that hard, my husband did our master bedroom in one day...if you can get some of your buddies to help it could take less than that

Well, that's the trick. Installers want to install THEIR stuff because they a) make money selling it to you, and b) don't want to assume liability for what might be an inferior product. You might want to figure out how to do it yourself (it's not that hard, only the cutting in is hard). Be SURE to get a floor that will stand up to wear--at $1.16 a square foot you probably aren't getting a very long-lasting surface.
