I need to purchase some bathroom tiles to match existing ones. They are about 5 years old. The markings on the reverse side are : Monococcion AZU-VI Made in Spain.

Please please help!

Azuvi are one of the larger Spanish tile manufacturers. Maxon Tiles in Enfield & Coulsdon were major importers, but obviously not all ranges. Monococcion just means it is a single- fired tile as opposed to some types that are fired twice. You will have a shading / batching problem though. You really need to know the range name of the tile and its size in centimetres. Some good builders leave any leftover tiles behind the bath panel....worth a look if the panel is easy to remove.

Your chance is slim. Depending on how many and where the replacements need to be, perhaps you could use an accent tile instead. Just a suggestion and might add some flair!!!

I don't know where you live, but in my city we have some tile stores that keep old leftover tile pieces. If you have a store like this then try there.

You'll be lucky - even if you found the correct one's they won't match because of the nature of ceramics and the colour batching - good luck on your hunt
