It depends on the size of the bedroom and how much natural and artificial light it has. If it's small, stick with lighter colors so you don't feel closed in. If it's a larger room, go with a deeper tone. This is just a personal suggestion, don't pick your favorite color for the room. I made that mistake twice and hated it both times. Good luck!

Depends on who is going to sleep there.

For a couple, I think seductive colours, like various reds, purples, and the like.

If the bedroom is just for sleeping, then pastel shades that can ease you off to dreamland.

But I like the idea of making a bedroom all your own. Put the colours you personally love. I have a friend who's bedroom is lilac and silver. A young lad I know has his football team colours. We have different pink hues coupled with white borders (he hates it). LOL

blue and green are tranquil colors that will help you feel relaxed, and the right shade of green will also help "bring the outdoors in" and make the room seem larger than it is. neutrals like tan, cream and white are also very relaxing to the eye. try a light shade of purple or pink if you want to feel passionate & creative. deep chocolate is popular right now, and will make the room feel warm & inviting, but may be too much in a small room.

I did my bedroom in reds and purples with gold trim here and there and oh boy what a lush place to be if your after a boudoir, go for this it didnt half spice things up . but if you want tranquill and peace go for lilacs and creams with trims of some deep purple for that little touch of lush crushed velvet cuishons would be mmm on a cream and lilac bed. enjoy your self babe xx.

reds or burgandys or deep purples are rather passionate colours for a bedroom if thats the sort of mood you wanna go for, or lilacs pale greens pale blues and creamy shades are relaxing if youd rather that sort of mood. personally id go for the first choice

The smaller the room the lighter the paint or you will suck a room up size wise by using too dark a paint, especially if you only have one window.
