I know I am suppose to declutter before the move. I have done some. I just don't really know what to get rid of. I have gotten rid of a ton of clothes. I have gotten rid of furniture, still there is a ton of "stuff" I don't know what to do with. Any suggestions on how to go on with this?

I have packed people for moving now for 20 years plus. I recommend start by boxing up what you know has to go. The rest of it donate it and dont look back. People have so much stuff and they dont use it,they just move it place to place wich p s cost money to move.

My experience has been that I get rid of alot of stuff I don,t think I'll need, & then I end up needing it & have to buy it again. When I moved this time, I brought everything. I have alot of stuff in closets that I know I won't need anymore, so I'm having a yard sale. It's kind of a hassle moving alot of stuff, but if you throw out things you might need in your new place, you'll spend more in the long run.

Normally my rule of thumb is, if I haven't used it in 6 months. Donate it to someone who will.
