Here are the sizes of standard mattresses:
twin - 39" x 75"
full - 54" x 75"
queen - 60" x 80"
king - 76" x 80"

I use a home furniture planner to do furniture placement and purchase plans as part of some interior redesigns. One planner says a Queen size bed is 64"x80". Another planner (the one I use most often) says a Queen size bed is 60"x79".

Go to a search engine website like google, or ask jeeves and type in queen size mattress or you can also check for comforters or mattresses and check the size listings.
