I am doing a report on this so your opinions would be very appriciated !

Okay I think that it is a very good show and that they do nice things..but sometimes I think they might could tone it down a little bit when bulilding some of these houses...they spend alot of money on each room even when its just a little kid and give them their own bathrooms and I think if they spend less money on each house they could built alot more houses and be more efficient...

I have a room that has no light fixture,Idea's to turn a lamp shade into the light fixture cover? Adding something to the shade maybe?
The light is there...2 bulbs and a spiral post coming down from that . It is a old house. I think there was probally something very pretty there but it's long gone now. I have a lamp shade that reminds me of Old victorian times. It's cloth. I would have to put it on upside down on the ceiling. But how to decorate it? Hot glue and what? I am doing the room as a dressing room,2 closits and our dressers,a vanity table and mirror, I want old world/victorian.

I have some framed paintings I want to hang, but when I went to tear off the price stickers I found that it left me with the back of the sticker. Is there some sort of mixture I could try to get the remnants off? Thanks!

I just moved into my 1983 home. The cabinets have never been refinished. We are considering keeping the wood look but we want to reliven the maple looking stain. Most products says on the label that the surface (which is not a soft kind of wood) needs to be cleaned/washed throughly. We figured soap and water will not do the trick. Also to change the look up on minimal income and for a powerful look, can gel stain work over existing surface without the hassle of lots of sanding?

Dear readers,
I am about to redecorate my house by myself.
I was looking for a site that will feed me with information about the color effect on the mood and the personality.
I think there are some websites that will educate me of the color effect on emotions.
More like, the Colors anticipation on us-positively or negatively
I am looking for soothing and calming colors that brings joy, peace, and calmness to my family and me.

Any suggestions!!
Thanks

The cabinets are cherry with a walnut stain; they are in good condition & I like the style. The kitchen light is low due to a nothern exposure. I want to go lighter (maybe a white base with a brown wash) to help lighten the room & update the kitchen.

I have been told that I can use chicken wire, but I would like something more professional looking. I want to take the glass inserts out of an old secretary and replace that glass with the metal grids. That would give this piece of furniture a french provincial look. Thanks for the help!
