I have a large square coffee table that I want to do something decorative to. It is painted an ugly yellow at the moment, so I wanted to sand it and repaint it. Does anyone have any CREATIVE suggestions? I considered crackling or faux finishing, but nothing has jumped out at me yet.

I'm putting crown molding up in my house and the crown is 'brilliant white' while the base boards and other trim work around doors is a little 'off white'. Should I try to match the paint on the crown molding to the baseboards or will it look good if the crown molding is white?

Someone told me that it's just as easy using liquid nails or similar product to attach bottom plate to basement floor when framing as it is to use hammer drill or hammer gun. I'm concerned that if I do this over time the glue could lose its consistency and walls would become unstable.

I'd appreciate it if you help me limit my choices by suggesting stores and even warning me about any furniture stores you may have had a bad experince with.

I want the Room to bring the sense of focus, but also tranquility (read: less anxiety), I know colors won't change the world but I have to paint the walls anyway (last tenant painted them neon orange... no idea why) so I would like to paint them with a purpose. I do lots of work in my room and every search on the internet was for bedroom or Office, well mine is both. I don't know much about feng shui, but I am open to all sugestions

I bought a 4x6 picture frame from Wal-Mart yesterday for my daughter and she just opened it today and it is really very nice but it has a picture of a young boy and some flowers in it. I am assuming that someone returned the frame to wal-mart and left the picture in it. I don't want to return the frame but I'd like to return the picture to the owner, it looks like it was professionally taken and expensive. How should I go about finding the owners?

I love the old actresses like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly and was gonna try to incorporate their pictures in simple black iron frames but don't know where to go from there. I'm kind off limited with space though. Any websites w/ pictures would be much appreciated.

I have a carmel wall living room with "paprika" colored couches. The trim in the room is white (we're not painting it, even though we should) and the blinds are a dark wood (almost purple). I'm having trouble with the curtain design. We bought the drapery hardware before the curtains were picked out - nice wooden rods. The rod is too big for typical "pocket" valences or sheers. And with pinch pleat drapes, I don't like how the hook shows when you clip on the ring. And colors ... I found some curtains that matched the color of the couches, but it was too much of that one color. I've tried paisley sheers that had both the carmel and the paprika and even the purple to blend with the blinds, but the pocket was too small. I'm getting frustrated!
