I have trouble getting comfortable on my bed and I want to buy one that is more comfortable. I'd appreciate brand and models names and where you got it, if you can. Thanks for your help and recommendations.

I have to give it a 10. I bought a Stearns & Foster Manhattan Ultra Plush Pillow top from Sleepy's. It is an extremely comfortable bed although pretty pricey. I don't mind paying a little more for something I'm going to use as much as my bed. The strange thing though is that it seems to get very warm at night, so much so that my husband and I kick off the blankets in the middle of winter. The same doesn't seem to happen in the summer. It's a phenomenon!

what's really weird is I'm not comfortable on a normal mattress. i sleep on a cheapy $60 futon mattress folded in half. on the frame, the bars stuck through, so it didn't work that way...... its four inches thick when inverted. everyone in my house say's its uncomfortable, but when i sleep on a normal bed, it takes me twice as Long to fall asleep, and i don't sleep as well..... maybe you just need to sleep on a hard surface...... it's good 4 ur back?? lol, am i so weird? i guess I'd rate it about a 6 or 7.... the 9 i know is my best friend's daguther's bed and went w/ her mom through college, so its about 14-17 years old.... the 8 i know is at my gramma's house, and is about 30 years old..... the only ten I've ever known was in the penthouse suit @ the Belagio in VAGAS!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha!!! I'm evil, I've been there!!!! but just cuz i was a mother's help, but it was fun anyway.

5. It is just some old twin mattress that we picked up from a friend. The box springs and the frame came from the salvation army store. I'm poor. Sorry if you have a problem with that. One day I will have a feather mattress, squishy pillows and quilted throws but until then I am just glad I have a bed.

Mine is about a 9. It's a firm and sturdy Futon- nice quality and single thick. I stack two single thick futon mattresses on top of each other. I've seen cheap Futon mattresses and some that are two thick and cushy. The single thick is perfect, and stacked on a 2nd is even better. And they are cheap. I can't sleep on a real matress anymore after this because my back is not accustomed to the cushy soft type. I prefer this.
