Hi, I live near Brighton and we had two walls knocked down of about that height two years ago. It cost us £400 per wall. Hope that helps.

It is probably a supporting wall and you may not be able to do away with it completely. If it is possible to bring it all down you will need a steel joist to support what is above it. I think it will cost you in the region of £1000. If you do it yourself, it may seem obvious but you must start at the top near the ceiling. It will be a lot more if it is on the tenth floor

is the wall a block or a brick wall or just a stud wall?..second ..whats above it . does the floor joist sit on it ?ifoyou have a wall above it or joist sitting on it .then you will need a steel beam sitting on a proper pad stone .. when you sell the house they will want to know who did it and did you get permission from building control ..if no you may have trouble elling it so be carful and get a proper builder ..expect to pay 600 pounds plus vat

Why don't you hire a Jack hammer and do it youself. Will save you a lot of money.
