I am doing a report on this so your opinions would be very appriciated !

Okay I think that it is a very good show and that they do nice things..but sometimes I think they might could tone it down a little bit when bulilding some of these houses...they spend alot of money on each room even when its just a little kid and give them their own bathrooms and I think if they spend less money on each house they could built alot more houses and be more efficient...

I think the effect is two fold: one, the SHOw is just that,
a SHOW... with paying sponsors!
So they want to INSPIRE folks to want to watch it,
(one is more insppired by MORE than they are by LESS!!!
That is human nature!)
so they can then see the ADS which will then get them
to go BUY the stuff the sponsors of the show sell...and
then they will tune in again next week!

They just rebuilt a home here that a plane from a local airport crashed into--and they did it one week--can't wait to see the way they did it!

No, I don't think it's too ridiculous. Much of the labor, materials, appliances and furniture are donated by the laborers, volunteers, builders, and manufacturers. I do understand your point though, less money spent per house would allow more houses to be built. The popularity of the show is the fact that the homes are of the best quality and design and a dream come true for some very deserving families. I think they are doing a great humanitarian service.

Yes, I'm with you. I do think that what they do for the families in need is great..BUT over-done! For what they put into one home, they could probably build/ or fix up 10 others for other families in need. You don't have to have Granite & Marble to make a "Home."
*I always wonder what happens to these families AFTER all the trucks roll out...HOW do these people pay the real estate taxes and up keep on these homes?? You know the taxes have to be a MAJOR chunk of change, and there is NO WAY to get around paying those as we all know;)
I DO LOVE TY though! O.K. that was my cents:) Best of luck with your report!

Although the show operates from sponsors, more than cash from anyones pocket, I would hope it would inspire us as individuals to team up with others and make a difference.

This show often reminds me of how others have it, and that I should be doing my part, rather than considering the manner in which others do or don't.

Its an excellent show just not long enough wish they would give more info about the results, but beats a lot of other stuff on tv.

I think it is a great thing they do, they simply need a new decorator.
