I have some framed paintings I want to hang, but when I went to tear off the price stickers I found that it left me with the back of the sticker. Is there some sort of mixture I could try to get the remnants off? Thanks!

Nail polish remover is great, but if the frame is wooden, don't use it. Spray it with hairspray and peel it off. Or scrath is until it comes off the scrub with soap and water.

Use some soap and water along with a razor blade. Soak the area good with soap and water and even let it set for a bit for the water to loosen the remnants of the sticker, then after about three minutes or so, scrape it off with a razor blade, but don't just use the corner of the razor blade as it could scratch the glass. Use the full edge of the blade, using it like a snow shovel - back and forth until it comes off. Hope this helps.

get a large print tray some distilled water and very carefully put it in a bath without soap and soak it off... this i think is what i would do if i could not get it off any other way ... this method might take off any finnish on the photograph but steaming it will heat the emulsion to much. Taking a high res scan of the photograph is also a good idea. Another posible idea just came to mind go to an old fasioned camera store and ask about soaking it in stop bath....

If the "glass" is really glass and not plastic you could use a razor blade to scrape it or nail polish remover or goof-off to dissolve the glue. If it is plastic instead all you can do is try scraping with your fingernail or a popsicle stick.

Next time try the peeling very slowly. If you are both slow and lucky the label's paper will not rip and the whole thing will come off.

Try a little vegetable oil, or peanut butter. It will take the adhesive off. Then wash the glass with soap and water.

If it is only on the glass you can use nail polish remover or for the best and most environmentally friendly solution you can use ZEP orange cleaner. that stuff is great!

A product called Goo-Off or something like that - my mom has it. Check your local grocery store.

Goof -off and Goo-gone...those are the two best. Fingernail poilish remover would be risky to use...

a little windex or goo-b-gone..wouldn't you think with all of our advances in science they would make a price tag sticker that doesn't do that!
