I'm looking to extend a Victorian Terrace house in Streatham Vale. A ground floor extention to the rear of the house with a glass roof. It will be in an L shape incorporating the existing Kitchen with the walls taken out. Can anyone give me a very aproximate cost? The floor space would be about 7m by 6m including the existing kitchen.

Our company starst with a new production line for furniture. We want to produce furniture which is made by the wishes of customers. What do people want and don't get in the furniture stores? Are those small pieces of furniture? Is there a lack of suply of complete interior design ideas? Do people ask for more and express their own wishes or do they just buy the availabile? Do people want custom made furniture?

I'm not sure about this, but I bought some cinnamon scented pinecones from Wal-mart. Well I was wondering if I would be able to place them in a jar with some oranges-fresh ones, to make a pretty centerpiece?? Would it hurt the oranges, like make them rot? Or would it not make any differene at all????

I recently started renting an apartment that I will be in for a few years. Its a great apartment at an amazing deal but one wall is painted the most hideous color. I found some amazing wallpaper that I love. I know it can be a bit of work to get wallpaper off but is it doable? Will I be able to get it all off and have my deposit returned?

will be replacing an old synthetic marble vanity with a granite vanity. Do you just place it on top of the cabinet? use a silicone caulking to adhere the side and back splash?? does the weight of the granite keep it in place? It'll be like 68-70", will not be at a free standing area... will be set in.

I have a garage that has appox.70 spaces 7'7'' high from floor to top of wall, and 15" between studs. I want to insulate this garage and eventually heat it. I also have to do inbetween the ceiling joists, which I believe is 23" in space. Not sure how many there are of them yet. What is the best type of insulation to use? Rolled, panel, etc. I dont want to spent alot of money on this nothing expensive or industrial quality required. R-value of 11 or so May be good enuf? I dont know how much one roll will even cover yet.

My husband and I just purchased a home which needs some brightening up. The house feels sort of "frumpy." It has natural hardwood floors, wood trim and the french doors are also the same wood. The kitchen has been updated to a more modern look already. I fear losing some sort of character or even value if we paint the trim but it is so dark. There isn't tons of natural light durring the day and I want to make the house more cheery. The walls will all be neutral colors blending from room to room so nothing too drastic. Mostly taupe / tans and off white. I would like to paint the trim a bright white or some shade of white. Do I dare?
