Fill a bag with some salt and put your flowers in the bag and shake them for a few seconds, this should remove the dust without hurting the flowers.

Place the plant in a sink, outdoors or on any water-friendly surface. Gently spray water from a faucet or pour water from a large cup, washing each part of the plant without saturating it. Make sure whatever the plant is resting in is water resistant as well. Spanish moss will dry if it is washed along with the plant, but crumpled paper should be removed before you clean the plant. Once you are done washing the plant, shake it gently to remove any excess water and fluff and arrange the leaves. Set it in a sunny spot to dry more quickly. When it is completely dry, it should be as good as new.

At a home party once where they were selling silk plants, the sales lady recommended putting them in a bag with a hand full of salt, and shake it up. It rubs the dust off without messing with the shape of the leaves/petals.

If you are looking for a fast clean way to clean them you can use a silk plant spray cleaner.I can't imagine doing all the rearranging your flowers would take. Not to mention the replacement on the hot glue, Styrofoam where you pulled it out.The spray can be bought at deal time. Its fabulous because you just spray and all the dust just disintegrates.Good luck.Hope this saves you time.

You can buy special cleaner for silk flowers, But I find rinsing them in warm soapy water does the same trick.

For bigger "plants" ( and what the hey even for the smaller ones too) I suggest putting them in your shower and just hosing them off with warm water. shaking them off and then putting them in a sunny place to dry. Easy, Cheep and works fine.

I use a can of compressed air that is meant for a computer keyboard. It works quite well.
