How do I cut the siding and frame it up?

You need to build a temporary support wall, called a deadman, so that when you cut out the support on the load bearing wall you don't become a deadman. Then you cut out the studs that are in the way of the window, install Kingstuds, trimmers, cripples, the sill and the header, making sure that everything is plumb, level and square. Then you cut the siding out with a reciprocating saw by following the sill, trimmers and header. Next, you install the flashing, slide the window in and screw it into place.

If you didn't understand that, get someone who does to help you with the installation. Something like this is easiest to accomplish with at least two workers and can be done more safely than if you try to do it by yourself with no experience.

2x4s are 16 inches apart. You cut one 2 x 4 and support the cut one with a cross piece and then add two side supports. that leaves about a 28 inch opening. Buy a window , insert. nail and stand back.
