Ok. Seriously. I spilled sauerkraut in the back of my minivan. I can not get the smell from the carpet. I see tons of things that vinegar will get out of carpet, but what can you use to counteract the smell of vinegar? I'm not taking the carpet up as best I can to get under it. Please help!

In 1957 they didn't have cell phones, personal computers, Ipods, Navigation Systems in cars. With all the growing technology, devices and such.

What would this world be in another 50 years and so on?

And lets be realistic!

I was walking on the sidewalk and came home. After a few minutes, I started looking for where a very bad smell was coming from. It turns out, I stepped on dog poop on my right Converse chuck shoe.

How do I get the poop off my shoe? I tried wiping it off with soap, water, and paper towels, but the residue is still there. Plus, it still smells. >.<

My 30 year old daughter's Christening gown has hand sewn lace at bottom. The gown is pure white, but the lace over the years has yellowed somewhat (not a lot). I used ritz whitening and something for yellowing, but it is just a few shades off WHITE! Does anyone have a sure remedy, because my daughter is having a baby girl and I would love for her to wear her mommy's gown. My daughter thinks the difference in color is too obvious, so I really want a sure fire fix! Thanks to anyone who can help!

Today I am doing a little housecleaning and am washing my bed-covers. I have a a quilt-like feather cover that goes under my sheets and over the mattress. I looked for tags but there were none. I'm pretty sure it can machine-wash but I was wondering what cycle and for how long to wash it.

I just bought a foreclosed house - the inside and outside of the cupboards are just caked w/grease and other food particles. I have decreased the outside, but I want to make sure the insides are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized before I put my stuff in them. Any suggestions for cleaning the crumbs and grease out of the corners and edges of the cupboards? Thanks!

The whole kitchen steams up and the walls behind it get soaking wet - worried that this could cause major problems to my house? Also the edges of the door and the sides of the machine are dripping with water the entire time its on. Do you think my machine has a fault or are all condensor dryers like this? Its an Indesit model, only few weeks old - still under warranty. many thanks. xx

Is anyone else allergic to it? (The 20 mule team borax powder) If so, do you get rashes, sneeze or what? I just started using it last week in my laundry, and have been breaking out ever since...I think that's my problem, but I love the stuff....It is the only thing that gets the pig poo and smell out of the b/f's work clothes...and my whites are really white again....any other suggestions?

I just ordered pink satin sheets from Victoria's Secret and I haven't received them yet, but I was just wondering if anyone knows how to go about washing them. They're imported polyester satin. I'm not sure if they'll come with care instructions so I just want to be prepared. Thanks in advance for your answers!! :)

I'm a stay home mom. I have 3 kids, 2 in school, the other is home with me. My problem is this...I cannot motivate myself to do anything. There's plenty of house work that needs to be done, I just can't seem to get the drive to get it done in the early hours and then I end up rushing around right before time for my husband to get in. I'm up at 4:30 every morning and I don't go to bed til 11 or later. I don't do much house work in the evenings because that's our family time. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions on what I can do to get that extra UMPH? Oh...and FYI, it's not like we're living in filth because I don't much. I do the basics, dishes, laundry, stuff like that, on a daily basis..it's just all the extra things like scrubbing floors, curtains that need new rods, closests that need cleaned out...those kinds of things.
