You can get a tile sealer at home improvement stores that seals the tile with a shiny glow. You just apply it directly onto the tile with a sponge and let it dry.

It's pretty expensive, though (about $75 for a half-gallon bottle).

I recently wanted to put tile in my bathroom and asked for one that was non slip. the clerk told me to use small tile because it was the grout that kept one from slipping, not the finish of the tile which was all slippery when wet especially. If you can't get any special finish for the tile once its down, then area rugs and runners over the walking paths through the rooms are the only option I know of. ' BTW my cousin had her stairway done in marble and fell down it and broke her arm. The very next day the marble was out and the carpet was in.
