What is the stain? Lemon rubbed on a stain can help a lot, fresh lemon. Many stains can be removed with diluted bleach and dabbed on, but dont do this on dark colors and it can if done wrong remove the color. Wouldn't hurt on a cotton shirt for example. If this is a white shirt...wet the stain, with your finger dip in the bleach and dab it on, let it set a minute, and rinse it out. Do it again until it is gone. But the bleach has to be diluted.....

Try this, wet the area where the stain is,take some dawn dish soap drop some on the stain, rub it in the stain, now turn it inside out drop some more dawn on the stain, rub it again, let it set for about ten minutes wash it out with cold water,it worked for me a couple of times, you may have to repeat it a few times, but like I said it worked for, after you thing the stain is out, wash it the washing machine on it's normal washing cycle for the garment, that should do it,good luck

Check under where your mom keeps laundry products or cleaning products
See if you have - Bleach if not - Vinegar
Dish soap - Use a sponge
or you can try re-wash the stain out but
let the fabric sit in hot water for at least half hour. If you don't have laundry detergerent power base - Buy a bag of Foca for a buck they should sell it at liquior store or your local super-market

What is it, and what is it on??
White blanket? Probably a quick wash in the washing machine will do it then. Otherwise good old soap and water, or a bit of fairy liquid and water. Good luck!

You don't say what made the stain, so I can't give you a specific remedy.
