The whole kitchen steams up and the walls behind it get soaking wet - worried that this could cause major problems to my house? Also the edges of the door and the sides of the machine are dripping with water the entire time its on. Do you think my machine has a fault or are all condensor dryers like this? Its an Indesit model, only few weeks old - still under warranty. many thanks. xx

There is no hose its a 'condensor dryer' therefore its not supposed to be vented. you can put them anywhere is the house and just plug in to work. the excess water collects in a tank which you have to empty. my question is whether its not working properly because excess condensation is being created and if this is normal or not?

Is your vent leading outside? Or is it in the house? If it's in the house, then that could be why you have steam filling up your kitchen. If not, then I'd contact the manufacturer before the warranty runs out. They should be able to either help you over the phone or send someone out to fix it.

And yes, the steam constantly in your kitchen could create problems, like mold. So you should definitely get that fixed as soon as possible.

I assume you are emptying the container after each load and clean not only the filter but also the condenser as recommended.

Since your clothes are drying, then a plugged drain isn't the issue. Are your clothes too wet before drying thus overfilling the basin?

Since there is an option to drain the things, can you go ahead and hook it up to a drain, not that it stops having to empty the water pan each time.

I'd give the company or service rep a call and inquire if excessive condensation outside the machine is normal......I wouldn't be pleased.

The water has to go somewhere ... Jr. High School Science, maybe 7th Grade? ... It evaporates but with inadequate ventilation it condenses. Get it ... VENTILATE.

does it have a pipe which steam comes out of? if so put it out of a window or a garden door.
