I just ordered pink satin sheets from Victoria's Secret and I haven't received them yet, but I was just wondering if anyone knows how to go about washing them. They're imported polyester satin. I'm not sure if they'll come with care instructions so I just want to be prepared. Thanks in advance for your answers!! :)

There will be wash instructions with them. Polester usually is cold to warm wash with cold rinse with medium wash cycle. No bleach. Low heat in the dryer for about 10 minutes. Pull out of dryer & if quite wet try for a few more minutes.

Do NOT use bleach.
Do NOT use hot water.
Do NOT use long wash cycle.
Do NOT use in large wash load.
Do NOT use hot dryer.
Do NOT overdry.

Satin care instruction

1.

Each item has a wash care label stitched inside in an obvious place.

2.

Hand or machine wash at 40ºC normally, for heavy staining an occasional 60°C wash is fine using a good washing agent. Use fabric conditioner in the final rinse cycle. Spin but do not wring.

3.

Do not rub or use bleach. Sheets may be dry-cleaned.

4.

Line, tumble or air dry.

5.

Cool iron on reverse if necessary.

6.

Wash frequently for freshness and do not let sheets become too soiled. :)

Check out link below:-

* Caring for Satin Sheets -
Satin sheets require more care than regular cotton sheets, particularly when it comes to washing.
General care: Satin made of silk and nylon should be shielded from the sun, so if you have a bright sunny room, go for acetate or polyester satin.

* Polyester: Polyester is pretty much the most durable material. Similar care to nylon, but safe to line dry. Again, to avoid pilling, hand-wash when possible.

* Nylon: Nylon is fairly durable, and is generally machine washable, even in a normal cycle. Use warm or cool water only, and go light on detergent.

READ THE LABEL OR ash them with woollite or other hand wash in gentle cycle, drip dry, is what I do, I do not put them in dry, My silk come out very well some may need a cool iron for touch up, Now days the fabrics usually come out very nice on drip dry.
