The last time I tried to remove wax from a lamp, I broke the glass. Is there an easy way to get leftover wax out of glass without damaging it?

I was told by my sister that adding a little Clorox to the dishwater will kill all the bacteria and germs that ordinary Palmolive or Dawn may not. Is this step necessary or unnecessary?

I have 3 roomates and two of them dont clean at all. Myself and my closest roomate clean the appartment top to bottom every other weekend, moping, sweeping, bleaching, dusting, and cleaning the bathrooms. I'm quite certain that they've only cleaned their bathroom 2 times in 5 months and never once dusted, mopped, or vaccumed the common area. It's pitiful and were getting fed up with it all! How do we stop it?!

I bought a dreamcast on ebay that unfortunately came with a distasteful smell of smoke. I was wondering if keeping it outside could air it out? Problem is its like 0 degrees so i was wondering if its bad for systems in that weather. I know its bad for very hot weather but im not sure with the cold. Thanks.

Anybody know how to wash clothes, especially sweatshirts without shrinking them? Everything I've tried doesn't seem to work. Also do polyester clothes shrink less than cotton?

i have wiped most of it up with towels and am soaking them in cold water to get most of the soap out, but what about the rest on the floor? Any ideas for easy clean up? I have a lot of white shop towels on hand.

We have been remodeling for 9 months, and the fridge was left anplugged and shut. Now it stinks like a dead animal. It's a almost brand new $1200 fridge, so buying a new one is not an option. how can I get it to not stink anymore? We are moving in in 2 weeks.

I have a HUGE puddle of wax on my carpet from my wax pot leaking. Does any one know how to get it out? If I google it, I can only find solutions for removing candle wax, not hair-removal-wax. Thank you in advance for any help!
