How much is the cost of a Kirby vacuum?

i will sell you mine for 500.00 with all the attachments. works great. i just don't use any of it but the sweeper and i only have one carpet now so i bought a cheapie to replace it. when i bought it i lived in a house with carpet in every room.

My husband used to sell Kirby's (he took another position last month). I've heard nothing but Kirby for months and he always brought home the trade-ins to clean them up before he took them into the office so I have used every vacuum cleaner on the market (whether I wanted to or not). I have to say, despite the fact that I'm sick of them, the Kirby's are the best. If I never hear the word Kirby again it will be too soon but they do what they say they do. He made me explain the physics to him and then I had to help him experiment with it (I am a scientist) and so I have really been forced to examine them. The latest model, the Sentria usually goes for near $2000 but they are worth it (they are in-home salesman so you can talk them down). Every salesman is different so if you get one that is particularly pushy or obnoxious, just call the company and have them send another. The new one will be nicer and give you a better deal (don't tell them you heard that from anyone). Don't be too hard on the salesman, they work hard. If you call them, at least you will get a carpet shampoo for free just for listening to the pitch (schedule it for a day you have nothing better to do).

eBay has several listings for the vacuum with an entire parts kit for about $225-299 in the 'buy it now' category so i guess that is close to the list price for a new unit.

never let a kirby salesman into your house,as you will never get rid of them

We just bought a rainbow and its probably about the same and we paid about $1200!
