I'm sorry to say, but if you let the stain dry and then tried to clean it you may always have a "ghost'( a faint stain) in the carpet.
You can try Peroxide which does a good job removing darker stains. and dosent bleach out the color of the carpeting. Just pour it on and let it sit for a few minutes. then BLOT it out with paper towel, you take the chance of spreading the stain when you scrub so always blot first.
If you dont have any success with the methods suggested here you can take the car to a detailer, they have access to chemicals that are not sold to the public and a good detailer can work wonders. You can look at spending around $100 for this service though.
Also if your unsure about a method you want to try, try it on the carpeting in the trunk of you car first. that way you wont end up with a bleached out area in the front of the car.
Hope things work out.
Eric.

Try using a carpet cleaning machine that sucks the moisture out,, like the Little Green Cleaning Machine. Use a small amount of Dawn dish washing liquid, it is formulated to break down foods organic parts..this should help relax the stains hold on the fabric and the machine can then suck it out. Repeat till the stain is gone

My advice is attempt some soda and placed it in there the acid in the soda is going deep into stuff and oftentimes its a nasty aspect yet soda helps get troublesome stains off about as solid as OXYCLEAN(yet not in any respect use that on the vehicle would ruin it) and its exceptionally solid for stains, traded paint(diverse colour paint then the vehicles unique colour) or scratches on the exterior of the vehicle(ect.bumper,hood,rims,doorways,trunk). contact me once you've any more beneficial questions

If you type" red soda stain removal" in the search engine, it will give you a web-site that sells a product called Red-ex. Claims to get the stain out by removing the dye.
