well Sarah , not sure Tracey has that right i would say if you use a hot iron on suede your´only ironing the grease further into the material , I would take it straight to the dry cleaner´s , normally to loosen grease stain´s I would use baking powder, but as this is suede would´t like for you to try and destroy a good jacket . Dry cleaners would be the best thing, or something else I have just thought off if you have a rubber brush or pad , which you use for cleaning suede this might help

The question you have to ask yourself here is what type of margarine was it.. As you well know margarine can be made using Thyoretholomene or Redalochlorine. The Thryoretholomene type responds well to Ribena or Diet Coke, (Only Diet Coke.. Not normal Coke) The Redalochlorine responds well to 20 50 engine oil. You rub the oil on the suede and heat it wth a blow torch. When it ignites simply blow it out and hey presto no stain.. However you might have a big burn hole in it...
Hope this helps..

Oops! If I were you I would leave it alone and let the professionals deal with it. Take it to the dry cleaners and tell them what happened and the name of the margarine. Here's hoping you'll be lucky!
